All too often people settle for mediocrity.
That is not to say that people prefer, or even like a mediocre reality. It’s just . . . we resign to the great deadender of habit.
Whether it be a slightly below average sport club, or a less than a C- academic average – society is filled with the saying, “good enough”, and take the broad path of least resistance.
But, on the other hand, are we prepared to deal with the “Gruel” that comes with success?
Are we ready to put up with the relentless coach who works the players into the ground practice after practice?
Are we able to withstand the grind of a boss (or team leader) that refuses to settle for your second best (less than 110% effort)?
The answer better be an unadulterated and resounding YES.
The champion only adheres to excellence, and nothing less.
Anything less than excellence becomes middle of the road, and will eventually breed mediocrity.
